Mithail Afrige Chowdhury (afrige1971@gmail.com),is  a documentary and street photographer based in Dhaka, Bangladesh.  He was raised with the ordinary people at his birth town Khulna, Bangladesh. Since then always tried to see and understand people’s life, their pain, happiness, complications  through social, economical, political, environmental changes. While living in the capital city at 2015 when he started photography, decided to capture only the things that he was so close throughout his life. Mithail’s primary objectives are to show people about other people’s problem, emotions and try to make a change through the pictures.

Being a photographer he documented Rohingya refugee crisis, Climate change effect on Bangladesh (ongoing project),major festivals , river crisis around Dhaka city, Street and slump people, slum fire, Corona Virus crisis (ongoing project).

Mithail won several international photo competition such as Life Press photo award [Ukrine], Xposure International photo competition  [Sharjah, United Arab Emirates],Compass photo competition by University of Oxford [UK],Global photography contests[China] etc.Besides his photography update,publication  covered in The Guardian,The daily Sun,The times of India,Global photography,University of Oxford, American Society of Civil Engineer(ASCE)  etc.
